# How we check codes

Source: https://www.cs2promohub.com/how-we-check-codes

Every code on CS2PromoHub is entered on the operator's site by a member of our editorial team. We note the date, what the code actually gave, and the conditions that came with it.

## What "Checked" means

Next to each code you see the date of the last check. If a check failed, the code is marked as not working until we find a replacement. We never show a date for a check that did not happen.

## Order of the list

The default order is set by the editorial team. Paid placements are always labelled "Sponsored" and are shown separately from our own assessment.

## Your votes

Under each code you can say whether it worked for you. Votes from the last 30 days are shown as they are. Many "did not work" votes trigger a new check.

## Our score

Every site gets a score from 0 to 10, calculated from five criteria shown on its page:

- **Bonus value (35%)**: free balance without a deposit, the deposit bonus percentage, a free case and other perks.
- **Code freshness (20%)**: how long ago we last confirmed the code works. Within 7 days scores highest. A site without a code or bonus (link only) gets a neutral score here: there is nothing to check.
- **Opinions (15%)**: your votes on this site, plus Trustpilot and app store ratings where they exist. With no data yet the criterion is neutral, not a penalty.
- **Giveaways (15%)**: skin giveaways the site is running right now.
- **Availability and app (15%)**: in how many countries the site is blocked, and whether it has a mobile app.

When our team has tested a site in depth, it can set the score by hand. The page then says so.
